Technical questions

You just need a web server that runs Java 8 or greater to run Javadocx.

If you have trouble running Javadocx we recommend you to read the documentation section. You will find there descriptions and examples of all the available Javadocx methods

If you would like the Javadocx team to take care of the task, you can acquire support tickets. Through the ticketing system, our IT team will perform a remote installation for you or prepare the script you need to process your documents.

Javadocx doesn't call to any external server; that's why it is a completely safe library and all the documents it generates are private.

Javadocx is built around Open Source technologies, so anyone can modify its code as long as it is not redistributed. Nevertheless, you should take into account that modifications of the core that are not "Javadocx Certified" may complicate considerably external technical support.

Trial package is different from the Basic, Advanced and Premium licenses. To remove the Trial message you have to download a new package after buying a license.

All purchased packages are available for download from MY JAVADOCX.

DOCX documents has UTF-8 as an inner charset. In order to avoid corruption problems when generating documents and opening them with MS Word, it is necessary to use UTF-8.

All Javadocx packages include a default set up for Eclipse. In case of working with Eclipse on Windows without these initial preferences, it is mandatory to change the predetermined charset to UTF-8:

Window > Preferences > General > Workspace, set "Text file encoding" to "Other : UTF-8"

For more information about working with Eclipse, there's documentation available for consultation on https://stijndewitt.com/2010/05/05/unicode-utf-8-in-eclipse-java/

Other IDEs or editors that don't use UTF-8 may need similar changes.
